Deanston Distillery, known for its Single Malt Scotch whisky, is situated on the picturesque banks of the River Teith near Stirling, Scotland. As the largest distillery owned by Distell Group Limited, they have made a name for themselves alongside other renowned distilleries like Bunnahabhain on the Isle of Islay and Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.
Originally established in 1785 as a cotton mill by Sir Richard Arkwright, Deanston Distillery underwent a significant transformation in 1966 when it transitioned into a whisky distillery. The presence of the pristine River Teith and its constant supply of pure water played a vital role in the decision to convert the mill. Notably, Deanston is distinguished as the sole distillery in Scotland that generates its own electricity through an on-site hydro-energy facility, showcasing its commitment to sustainability.
Located in the Highland single malt region of Scotland, Deanston Distillery takes pride in its traditional approach to whisky production. The process involves the meticulous craftsmanship of ten local artisans, resulting in a whisky that is un-chill filtered and bottled at a natural color with a robust 46.3% alcohol by volume (ABV).
Recognizing the growing global interest in their exceptional whiskies, Deanston has recently expanded its reach to enter the Canadian marketplace. With its rich history, scenic location, and commitment to quality, Deanston’s entry into Canada promises to introduce whisky enthusiasts to a distinctive and captivating Scotch whisky experience.
The client provided us with their preferred fonts, colours, and styles for their campaign website, making the use of Style Tiles unnecessary, allowing us to jump right into the design process. We began by creating a static design concept, which underwent several rounds of revisions based on client feedback. Once we received approval, we proceeded to the coding phase. The website was developed using WordPress, utilizing the user-friendly Elementor page builder. We incorporated interactive elements like popups, which appeared when clicked and animated text. This combination of visually engaging design and interactive features ensured an immersive and dynamic user experience.
