Spectrum Sailing is a nonprofit organization providing free sailing camps for youth with autism. Founded in Charleston, South Carolina by father and sailor Scott Herman, the organization was created in response to the lack of inclusive maritime programming for children on the autism spectrum. From a single local program, Spectrum Sailing has grown into a national movement with over 35 camps across 14 locations, positively impacting more than 700 young sailors.
